Accuvant Completes Acquisition of Alderman Consulting LLC

Denver, Colorado - August 4, 2004 - Accuvant, an elite provider of information security solutions, announced today the acquisition of Alderman Consulting, LLC., a professional services firm providing corporate compliancy guidance and enterprise risk management services. Matthew R. Alderman, Founder and CEO of Alderman Consulting, will join Accuvant as Director of Compliance Services.

Accuvant will incorporate Alderman Consulting's offerings to form a new Compliance Services business unit, providing solutions for enterprise security and regulatory compliance. The new unit will focus on helping Accuvant's diverse client base address the growing challenges posed by legislation such as the Gramm Leach Bliley, Health Information Portability and Accountability, Sarbanes Oxley, Federal Information Security Management, and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Acts. Accuvant's Compliance Services are designed to assist both those organizations that are initiating a compliance strategy and those that already have defined their goals, but need assistance in bringing their initiatives to fruition.

The Accuvant approach to assessing and managing compliancy is unique. Traditional compliance offerings are costly, inefficient one-time projects addressing a single compliance objective. Accuvant's strength lies in helping clients develop a comprehensive risk management program that enables clients to simultaneously address overlapping regulations through an ongoing, repeatable process. Accuvant empowers an organization's ability to self-manage ongoing compliancy.

According to Bill Strub, Accuvant VP of Consulting Services and Co-Founder, enterprise risk management and corporate governance is a top priority for executive management teams. "Companies are struggling to address compliance and merge those requirements with their security strategy. Enterprise security decisions are increasingly being driven by regulatory concerns."

Matthew R. Alderman, former CEO and Founder of Alderman Consulting, will be responsible for spearheading the new division's offerings and educating clients about the increasingly complex regulatory landscape. He brings extensive experience in the regulatory consulting arena to Accuvant. "Matthew understands the intricacies of corporate governance and can provide invaluable insight for organizations struggling to understand what these regulations mean to their business," said Strub. "His approach has been enthusiastically received by the market--most players today take a snapshot approach to compliance and fail to help clients achieve long-term success. Matthew has the know-how to get them over the initial compliance hurdle and adopt effective measures to simplify the ongoing compliancy process."
