Accuvant and FishNet Security Experts to Demonstrate Unique Burp Suite Plugin and RFID Skimmer, Talk Black Hat Network Infrastructure at Black Hat USA 2015

Denver and Overland Park, Kans. – July 22, 2015 – Accuvant and FishNet Security, which recently merged to create the nation’s premier cyber security solutions provider, today announced that several security experts from the company will speak at Black Hat USA 2015. Presentations will include demonstrations of a new Burp Suite plugin and an open-source RFID skimmer, and a behind-the-scenes look into the Black Hat network infrastructure. The conference is scheduled to take place from August 1-6 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Who/What: During this presentation, which will take place in the Arsenal tool/demo area, security consultants Scott Johnson and Tim MalcomVetter will co-present a demonstration of the Burp-Hash, a new Burp Suite plugin designed to enable cyber security professionals to perform better audits of web applications. This tool helps identify the presence of certain vulnerabilities and ultimately saves web applications from subtle, yet impactful vulnerabilities.

Breaking Access Controls with BLEKey
Who/What: In this briefing session, Mark Baseggio, managing principal consultant, will co-present a demonstration on how to defeat access controls using an RFID skimmer called BLEKey. This new open-source hardware device is designed to be embedded in an RFID reader to exploit the Wiegand communication protocol used by the majority of access control systems today. Session attendees will learn how this new tool can be valuable for understanding the risks associated with insecure access controls and what steps companies can take to lower the risk of access control attacks.
